Prostorová diferenciace výskytu bezdomovectví v Evropě
VAVRO, Peter
This bachelor thesis aims to analyze the spatial differences in the occurrence of home lessness in Europe at the level of states. Based on data collected from The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Develepment, the European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless and other sources, it analyses the number of homeless people in European countries. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the concept of home lessness and spatial differentiation. The analysis focuses on correlation with selected socioeco nomic indicators on the proportion of homelessness. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to inter pret the spatial distribution of the observed phenomenon and to identify the main determinants involved in the occurrence of homelessness. The synthetic part focuses mainly on the distri bution of the phenomenom under research in a regional concept in order to generalize the results and make it easier to recognize the regularity of homelessness.
Prostorová diferenciace výskytu školní šikany v Evropě
ČAKOVSKÁ, Hana
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the spatial differences of the occurrence of school bullying on the state level. The distribution of the sociopathological phenomenon is an examination based on qualified data on the proportions of bullied bullied students, which was carried out as part of an international PISA survey organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation (OECD). To reveal spatial regularities, quantitative methods are used, namely correlation and regression analysis, which control the relationship of school bullying with selected economic, social and other indicators. The impact is evaluated for each country in the analysis. In order to draw conclusions, the European space is generalized in the synthesis and causality is examined and the determinants are described in a regional concept. The work aims to analyze, then interpret the spatial differences of the phenomenon and try for other causes, the specific local and regional significance of European countries.
Prostorová diferenciace podílu uvězněných osob ve světě
ŽELEZNÁ, Tereza
The bachelor thesis deals with the spatial differentiation of the distribution of imprisoned persons in the world at the level of individual states. Based on the statistics taken from the World Prison Brief database, it analyses the number of prisoners in the given countries of the world. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the definition and delineation of basic terms from the field of penology and social pathology, as well as theories that are closely related to prison systems. The analytical part examines the influence of individual groups of economic, social and other factors on the share of imprisoned persons. The quantitative method of evaluating the influence of selected factors is characterized by correlation analysis. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to clearly interpret the spatial differences in the observed phenomenon and to find the main determinants that encourage the occurrence of criminal behaviour and imprisonment itself. The synthetic part focuses on the distribution of the investigated phenomenon in a macro-regional concept in order to generalize and facilitate the determination of the main determinants and specifics of the distribution of the investigated phenomenon.

Socially Pathological Phenomena Occuring in Exkluded Localities
VONDRÁKOVÁ, Petra
This bachelor thesis discusses socially pathological phenomena that occur in excluded localities in the town of Slaný and its environs. There are serious social problems in socially excluded localities. For these localities, a higher occurrence of socially pathological phenomena is typical. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis discusses socially excluded localities in Slaný and its environs, at present, there are six such localities. This thesis also describes the bad living conditions of people who live in these places. My opinion is that other citizens of the town of Slaný have no idea how people in these localities live. This thesis aims to raise awareness not only among the citizens of Slaný. The thesis further focuses on the difference between social pathology and deviation, it explains the terminology of social exclusion and a socially excluded locality. It also discusses drug abuse, criminality, aggression, and gambling. These are serious social problems that occur in today's society. The thesis also talks about the cause of the above mentioned pathological phenomena. The aim of this thesis is to chart the socially pathological phenomena that are located in excluded localities. Two research questions were chosen: Vo1: How does the unemployment of the socially excluded locality citizens influence the occurrence of socially pathologically phenomena? Vo2: What is the influence of the education of the socially excluded locality citizens on the occurrence of socially pathologically phenomena? For the practical part of this thesis, a quantitative method was used. A questionnaire was used as a research instrument with inhabitants of the above socially excluded locality as respondents. The data which were obtained were processed using descriptive statistics in MS Excel and hypothesis testing took place in the program SPSS, using t-test and chí-kvadrát test. The questions in the questionnaire survey were elected the way that they could tell which socially pathologically phenomena occur in the excluded locality of Slaný and its environs. In my research, fourteen hypotheses were dealt with. Some hypotheses assumed that the occurrence of socially pathologically phenomena is influenced by the unemployment of socially excluded locality inhabitants. The next hypotheses assumed that the education of the inhabitants of socially excluded localities influences the occurrence of socially pathological phenomena. Research results showed that the unemployment in this area is influenced by alcohol and drug abuse as well as smoking and the occurrence of execution in these localities. It also proved that education is also influenced by alcohol and drug abuse together with smoking and the occurrence of execution. According to this research unemployment and education have no influence on gambling and criminal record.

A comparison of unemployment in various social groups
Urbanová, Věra ; Majerová, Věra (advisor)
This thesis has both a theoretical and a research section. The theoretical section investigates how literature defines the basic concepts relating to unemployment?. An analysis of unemployment in various social groups is also included. The research section comprises of personal experiences both from being a candidate applying for a job position, as well as working as an employment officer. The quantitative research focuses on candidates of all social groups applying for a job. Qualitative research of the labour office's employees is undertaken with figures and entries from the department of the labour office (KoP ÚP ČR) completing this empirical study. The acquired data is then evaluated and an conclusion formed as to how the current situation can be improved.
Parents´ and students´ attitudes to truancy
VESECKÁ, Nela
Truancy is a behavioural disorder characterized by the student wilfully staying away from school without permission or appropriate excuse. The student's absence is always excused by the teacher rather than by one of the student's parents, upon a written request of the student's legal representative (if he or she is a minor), or the student himself/herself (if he/she is of age), and invariably in accordance with the school's rules. Truancy is a serious offence; the student intentionally avoids compulsory school attendance, thus violating not only the school's rules, but also the Education Act. The socio-pathological phenomenon mentioned above is not a rare occurrence in today's school practice, having become commonplace in both elementary and secondary education. Owing to its serious nature, topicality and potential negative impacts, it merits a deeper examination. The present bachelor thesis, Attitudes of Parents and Students to Truancy, attempts to identify views of today's ninth-grade students of elementary schools on truancy-related problems by means of an analysis of different components of their attitudes. Its objective is therefore to map opinions, emotional reactions and behavioural trends of the students with respect to the object of the attitude. At the same time, it outlines how the students perceive the attitudes of their parents to the same problem. The work is divided into two principal parts. The theoretical part summarises existing knowledge on truancy-related problems. The first chapter deals with truancy in general, presenting relevant terms and definitions. Subsequent chapters are dedicated, in particular, to the typology of truancy, a detailed analysis of different causes of truancy, available solutions, and last but not least very important prevention of the socio-pathological phenomenon. The empirical part is based on a qualitative survey; a semi-structured interview technique was used to collect the data needed to meet the objective of the thesis. The respondents were pupils of the "Vltava" Elementary School in České Budějovice, who were interviewed, after their grades had been closed, using a set of questions based on the objective of the work and prepared in advance. The survey shows that today's ninth-grade students harbour mainly negative attitudes to truancy. They deny they would intentionally stay away from school, although most of them admit they often fake health problems to be able to stay home and avoid school. The paradoxical attitude is attributable to the fact that the students do not have any information on types of truancy and that they are not aware of potential consequences of the phenomenon, thus not knowing that even faking health problems qualifies as truancy. Furthermore, the survey has confirmed that parents' attitudes to truancy are negative as well, although they often support the socio-pathological phenomenon by allowing their offspring to stay at home without a serious reason at the time they should be at school. The reason is that they too are unaware of consequences of their acts. It should be noted that the results of the survey may be skewed to a substantial extent, as attitudes to truancy are affected by many factors. The bachelor thesis aims to present a comprehensive view on truancy-related issues. The results of the survey it presents could be made use of by teachers and educators who encounter the socio-pathological phenomenon in their everyday work, as well as by parents or general public interested in the topic.
